The Terms and Conditions define the service provided by Cakes by Acacia Simone. Many of the below details will be conveyed to you upon enquiry. Once a deposit has been made to secure your order, you are accepting the terms and conditions stated below.
ENQUIRES
All enquiries will be responded to within a 48hr timeframe. Correspondence will primarily be via email but a phone call can be arranged upon request.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
All quotes are valid for a 14 day period from the date of issue. To secure the booking, a non-refundable deposit is required within this 14 day period. The deposit amount is subject to the order request and will be detailed via email correspondence. No date is secure without the deposit paid.
The order form will be issued once all details have been confirmed. The balance of your booking is due four weeks prior to the event, payment options are available upon request. Orders placed with less than 6 weeks notice will require full payment to be made at the time of ordering. Preferred payment method is bank transfer, these details can be found on the order form with the due balance. Please ensure to include your name, the event and the date of the event in the description.
In making your non-refundable deposit, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
All requests are custom made and personalised for the individual to suit their event. In order for delivery of product to be made, payment is required prior to event. For last minute orders, there is flexibility within reason, which is determined on a case by case basis.
PICK UP & DELIVERY
Pick up is available from the shop. Date and time will be confirmed prior to collection. Once the products have been collected, the responsibility of the cakes safety has been transferred to the person who collects it. Care instructions will be communicated to optimise transport and service of the cake.
Delivery to the venue and set up is recommended for large orders, such as tiered wedding cakes. This also gives the opportunity to communicate with coordinators and chefs to discuss cake care and cutting guides. Delivery fee is based on distance travelled to venue. If a second trip is required to the venue to collect items, e.g.: hire of a cake stand, then an additional fee will be added to the delivery.
MODIFICATIONS
Changes to the order after confirmation can be made up to four weeks from the due date. A fee may be incurred depending on the scope of the changes. In the event of additional funds to be made, they are to be paid at the time of confirmation of the modifications.
CHANGE OF DATE
If the date of the event changes for any reason, I am more than happy to accommodate provided there is availability for the new date and sufficient notice is given. If Cakes by Acacia Simone is unable to fulfil the order for the change of date, a refund of any due balance payments will be issued and recommendations for other local cakers will be provided to assist you in finding the best alternative.
CANCELLATIONS
Deposits are non-refundable but in the event of a cancellation and the deposit has been paid but further payments have not been paid, the deposit amount can be held for a future booking. There is no expiry date for when this can be utilised.
In the event of a cancellation and partial or full payment of the due balance has been paid, the following will apply:
Please note, the non-refundable deposit is deducted from the total quote and covers:
DIETARIES
Options are available for dietary alternatives and baked at a different facility to the primary products offered. Whilst these products are free from allergens, and every precautionary action is taken to ensure the product is free from the specific dietary request, it is at the discretion of the patron if they choose to consume the products. Although all measures have been taken, it cannot be guaranteed there are zero trace elements of allergens present. It is the responsibility of the client to inform their guests.
